Norma Regina Daniels, 89 of Stanley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March
8, 2018, at Wissota Place, Chippewa Falls, WI.
She was born on December 12, 1928 at home on the family farm northeast of
Stanley. She was delivered by her Aunt O’delia Heiting who arrived on a sleigh
pulled by a team of horses. She was the fourth of six children born to William
and Barbara (Heiting) Sorenson.
She attended Pederson Country School and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School
in 1946.
During her lifetime she worked for the WI Telephone Co., Farmers Store,

1982. She found love again with Donald “Red” Daniels, and they married on
December 17, 1988. They enjoyed many years of fishing, camping, and traveling
until his death in 2013.
Norma enjoyed sewing and crocheting beautiful doilies and afghans. She was an
excellent seamstress and made many of her and her daughters’ clothes. She
enjoyed shopping for bargains, caring for her vegetable and flower gardens,
canning, playing cards, lunches with the
Red Hats and Northern WI Center ladies, outings at the casino, watching the
birds (especially cardinals because they mate for life), and spending precious
time with her family and friends.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish where she served as a Eucharistic
Minister.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the incredible staff at
Wissota Place and St. Josephs Hospice for their compassionate and excellent care
and for making Norma (Mom) feel comfortable there.
