Jagodzinski, Gerald “Gerry” (8 JUL 1959 - 7 JAN 2018)
Gerald “Gerry” Jagodzinski, 58, of San Francisco, Calif., (formerly of Edgar)
passed away to eternal life on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 at Coming Home Hospice, San
Francisco, Calif.
He was born July 8, 1959, in Wausau to Frank and Jolanta (Szuminski)
Jagodzinski. He attended St. John’s Catholic School and Edgar High School where
he played on the football team. He graduated from City College in San Francisco,
Calif., and worked for the State Bar of California as an auditor. He was a
hiking enthusiast and always a Green Bay Packer’s fan, even in San Francisco.
Gerry appreciated the open air in life on earth. He was known to his co-workers
as a walker. His hiking hobby led him to many outdoor landmarks and destinations
across the U.S. including Hawaii.
Gerry’s family always looked forward to his return home to central Wisconsin
during holidays and family celebrations, postcards from his hiking trips,
birthday cards, and his overall kindness.
Survivors, beside his parents, include his sister, Sharon (Randy) Ross,
Marathon; nephew, Ryan (Michelle) Ross, Green Bay; aunt, Virginia Szuminski,
Marathon; uncles, Sylvan (Gloria) Szuminski, Hancock, and Dennis (Beatrice)
Jagodzinski, Schofield; many cousins; and grand-nephew and grand-niece, Marcus
and Caliana Ross, whom he enjoyed visiting at Knotts Berry Farm in California.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Huff on April 7, 2018, at 10
a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Edgar. Visitation will take place at 9:15
a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will follow at the Edgar
Parish Cemetery. All County Cremation Service, Colma, Calif., assisted.
