McDougall, Thomas “Tom” Patrick (8 AUG 1952 - 9 MAR 2018)
Thomas “Tom” Patrick McDougall of Edgar, died peacefully on Friday, March 9,
2018, at the age of 65.
Tom was born in Danbury, Conn., on Aug. 8, 1952, to Harold and Evelyn McDougall.
Tom was a lifelong drywaller. He moved around the country before settling in
central Wisconsin in the 90s. He met his companion, Polly Becker, in 2003.
Tom enjoyed gardening and canning, spending time outdoors, storytelling and long
talks on the phone catching up with his family all across the country. He loved
spending time with Polly’s family, especially her grandchildren, taking hikes
and watching them play in the backyard. He will be deeply missed by all who knew
him.
Tom is survived by his companion of 15 years, Polly Becker; his son, Shawn (Chrissy
Voelker) McDougall; his daughter, Sheena (Ben Lemmer) McDougall; his grandson,
Aiden McDougall; his sisters, Maureen (Mark) Paloian and Karen (Larry) Stout;
his niece, Amanda (Sage Ira-Partner) Paloian; and his grandniece, Lilly Mae; as
well as his extended family, Danielle (Mark) Ashbeck and child, Ryan; April
(Tim) Becker and children, Cole, Cade and Cale, and Amanda (Luke) Schessler and
children, Asher and Dominic; and many other close family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn (Weber) McDougall;
and sister, Kathy Cann.
Tom will be cremated at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau. A memorial
service will take place at a later date.
