Andersen, Albert H. “Pat” (2 MAR 1918 – 4 NOV 1970)
Albert H. “Pat” Andersen, 52, executive vice-president of the bank of Athens and
brother to Mrs. James Crowley of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) died Wednesday, November
4, 1970 at his home in Athens. He had been in ill health since June.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 6 at Christ United Church of
Christ in Athens, and the Rev Kenneth Dix, pastor, officiated. Services were
also held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Augusta, with the
Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery at Loyal (Clark
Co.).
Mr. Andersen was born March 2, 1918 in Withee (Clark Co.), and he was married to
Virginia Colby, October 13, 1945 in Loyal.
He was a veteran of World War II, and has been employed at banks in Loyal,
Wausau, Marshfield, Augusta and Athens. While in Marshfield, he was elected
comptroller and chief finance officer of the city. He also had been the federal
examiner of the Savings and Loan Association in Marshfield, and had been
employed at the People’s State Bank in Augusta. He came to the bank of Athens
last May 15.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Norman and Allen, both at home; two
daughters, Mrs. Michael Harden, Waterloo, and Mrs. Richard Osborn, Platteville;
three grandchildren; a brother, Norman Andersen, San Francisco, Calif.; and four
sisters, Mrs. Sam Hoffman, Wausau; Mrs. E.L. Schect, Lac du Flambeau, and Mrs.
S. Frankowski, Milwaukee.
