Stoker, Phoebe V. (1965? – 9 NOV 1970)
Mrs. Phoebe V. Stoker, 95, Arlington Heights, Ill., formerly of Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.) and Madison, died November 9, 1970 in a New Glarus Nursing Home, after a
brief illness.
The former Phoebe Villemonte was born in Arena, Wis., and was a former librarian
at the Owen High School. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church
and the GAR Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph O’Connor, Arlington Heights, Ill., and
Mrs. George Conant, Summerland Key, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Veronica
Kargaard, Wheaton, Ill.; Mrs. Edith Mead, Waukesha, and Mrs. Genevieve Long,
Marshall, Texas; a brother, William, Kimberling City, Missouri; eight
grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11.
