Ziegler, Gary A. (1939? – 25 February 2018) With Flag
Gary A Ziegler, 79, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, after
a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, of 60 years, Carol (nee Rosenberg);
three sons, Bart (Tina), Curt (Lisa) and Gary Jr. (Sue); five grandchildren; and
a brother, Jim.
After leaving Neillsville, Gary and Carol moved to the Milwaukee area where Gary
earned two degrees from UW-Milwaukee. He had a career in business until he and
carol started a jewelry business. They had stores in Brookfield and Lake Geneva.
They then moved to the Lake Geneva area but enjoyed traveling around the country
selling their hand made jewelry at fine art shows.
Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips
with his sons and friends. He and Carol were world travelers, and he loved
exploring foreign places.
Gary was a sergeant in the United States Army Reserves and received an honorable
discharge after years of service.
He loved the Packers, Elvin and his dogs. Gary loved life.
A service will be announced at a later date.
