Pahl, Wesley E. (3 August 1905 – 22 November 1974)
Wesley E. Pahl, 69, of Banning, Ca., brother of Mrs. Phillip (Evelyn) Seliskar
of Greenwood, died November 22, at Banning, after a two-month illness following
surgery.
Funeral services were held, and burial took place, November 25 in Banning. Mrs.
Seliskar attended the funeral.
Mr. Pahl, son of William and Clara Pahl, was born August 3, 1905, in Merrill. In
1927 he was married to Ruth Breitengross. After their marriage they lived in
Milwaukee and then at Athens, where he was mayor for several years. Then they
moved to Marshfield, where he worked for Roddis until they sold out to
Weyerhauser. He was employed by them as sales and export manager for Wood
Products Company at Sioux Ste. Marie, and then at Toronto, Canada. He retired in
1970 and moved to Banning. He was a member of the Banning Rotary Club; Gorgonio
Pass Shrine Club; San Jacinto college trustee; and a director of San Gorgonio
Pass Hospital; and was manager of the Banning Chamber of Commerce at the time of
his death.
He is survived by his wife; a daugher, Miss Karen Pahl of Sioux Ste. Marie,
Canada; a son, Robert Pahl of Fullerton, Ca.; three grandchildren; two brothers:
Ethan Pahl of Lake View, Torrance. Ca.; and Ben Pahl of Lombard, Il.; and a
sister, Mrs. Phillip (Evelyn) Seliskar of Greenwood.
