Nelson, Gilbert (3 December 1894 – 30 November 1974)

Gilbert Nelson, 79, a resident of the Bryan Home, was dead on arrival Saturday, November 30, at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home, with interment to follow in the Town of Mentor Cemetery at Humbird. The Rev. Ronald Nordin of Calvary Lutheran Church was to officiate.

Mr. Nelson was born December 3, 1894, in Trempealeau County and was educated in schools there. He worked as a farm hand throughout his lifetime and entered the Bryan Home in 1971.

Among survivors are the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Hugh Terrell and Mrs. Willard Stanley of Humbird, Mrs. Lawrence Kaufmann of Fairchild, Lyle Larson of Augusta, Albert Larson of Chippewa Falls, Marvin Larson of Menomonie, Wayne Nelson of Janesville, Erwin Nelson of Rice Lake, Mrs. George St. Louis of Cudahy and Joyce and Duane Nelson of St. Paul, Mn.
