Albrecht, Frank A. (3 MAR 1933 - 19 MAR 2018)

Frank A. Albrecht, of Juneau, was born to Eternal Life Monday, March 19, 2018, at the age of 85 years. He was born March 3, 1933, in Athens, the son of Frank and Catherine (Gebhardt) Albrecht. Frank attended St. Anthony’s School and Athens Public High School, then joined the Air Force after school and completed basic training at Shephard and Lackland Air Force Base.

Hr trained at Chanute Air Force Base as an aircraft engine mechanic and air craft maintenance tech, he then served two years in Alaska and one year in California; a total of four years of service. He then worked as a tractor mechanic and at Marathon Electric in Wausau. Following his time in Wausau, Frank moved to Reeseville and worked as a master plumber until purchasing Kaeding Hardware, which he sold in 1999.

Frank was a Boy Scout master in Athens and Reeseville, belonged to the American Legion Post 190, was commander, a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, past grand knight for two years, and a member of the Reeseville/Lowel Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Caroline (Galoff); son, Frank (Michelle) Albrecht; step-son, Greg (Teresa) Giese; six grandsons and two granddaughters; brothers and sisters, Gerald Albrecht, Patrick Albrecht, Mary Anne Lawrence, Betty O’Connell, Jeane Geissler and Carmella Mallak. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Thomas and Adrian.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home in Juneau. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at noon. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Juneau. The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Juneau, is serving the family.
