Maatta, John Mathew (28 MAY 1913 - 1 DEC 2003)

John Mathew Maatta, 90, Rib Lake, formerly of the Town of Hill, Price County, died Monday, December 1, 2003, at the Rib Lake Health Care Center.

Funeral Services are Thursday, December 4, at 11 a.m. at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Ogema, with Ray Kovala officiating. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Leavitt Creek Cemetery, Town of Hill.

Pallbearers are Bill and Curtis Creed, Randy Bergman, Richard Maatta, Dale Niemi, Dale Hakala and Curtis Kyllonen.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home of Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

John was born in Price County, Wisconsin, to Andrew H. & Hilma (Mesimaki) Maatta. He married Edna M. (Stenseth), on May 28, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, Wisconsin.
