Gerhart John Rau, 89, Town of Chelsea, died Thursday, October 9, 2003, at Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center in Medford.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey, with Rev. Randal Jeppesen officiating. Burial was in Chelsea Community Cemetery with full military rites.

Pallbearers were Royce Vlach, Milan Czarnezki, Ron Lindow, Neal Mueller, Quintin, Gene and Clayton Denzine.

Gerhart is the son of Frank J. & Rose (Spalt) Rau. He served in the US Army during WW 2.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
