Koski, Evelyn (7 SEP 1914 – 24 MAR 2018)

Evelyn Koski, age 103, of Loyal passed away at Three Oaks Health Services, in Marshfield, on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Loyal, on Thursday, March 29 at 11:00am with Pastor Dan Zimmermann officiating. Visitation will be at the church, on Thursday, from 10:00am until time of service. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, north of Loyal.

Evelyn Elstrom was born on September 7, 1914 to Ole and Anna (Molle) Elstrom, the eldest of 12 siblings. She graduated from Owen High School on May 26, 1933. She married Arvo Koski on July 11, 1933 in Waukegan, Illinois. Evelyn did domestic work before moving to a farm in the Loyal area in 1946. She held many off-farm jobs, most notably at the Clark County Health Care Center where she worked in the kitchen and sewing room. Evelyn made many hand-quilted quilts for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and reading.

Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal at the time of her death and was a past member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, its' Parish Council and Ladies Aide.

She is survived by her sons: William (Carol) Koski of Overland Park, KS, James (Jean) Koski of Loyal, and her daughter: Donna Koski, also of Loyal. She further survived by her sister: Shirley Kollmansberger of Greenwood; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by parents; her husband Arvo on April 16, 1989, an infant son; her grandson, Adam Koski, on August 2, 2015; and 10 siblings.
