McKevitt, Randy (Military - 1974)
Randy McKevitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKevitt of Neillsville, was one of
six Northern Michigan University students recently chosen to receive an Army
ROTC scholarship.
The scholarship, which is renewable up to four years, will pay for tuition,
textbooks, lab fees and other educational expenses. Randy will also receive $100
a month for up to 10 months of each school year.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be 17 years of age by October
1 of the year the scholarship is effective; be able to complete all requirements
for a commission and a college degree and be under 25 years of age on June 30 of
the year of graduation; meet certain physical and character standards; and agree
to serve either in the regular army or on of its reserve components.
