On the 30th of October Gary Potocnik graduated from basic training at Fort Knox,
Kentucky, with the exercises being witnessed by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy
Potocnik, rural Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and by his fiancé, Miss Lynn Prill of
Withee (Clark Co.).
When they arrived there they learned that Gary had a 14-day leave coming, so he
accompanied them home for a visit. Monday his leave had terminated, so his
parents, Miss Prill, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pfalzgraf drove him to Minneapolis,
where he enplaned for Fort Hood, Texas to begin his advanced training, having
been assigned to the motor pool.
