Giera, Richard #2 (10 FEB 1908 – 25 NOV 1970)

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, for Richard Giera, route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died of an apparent heart attack at his home Wednesday, November 25, 1970.

The Rev. John Hellert, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiated, and burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the service were Ted Petke, Art Erickson, Walter Nowak, Arlie Thompson, Robert and Frank Friedenfels.

Mr. Giera was born February 10, 1908 in Germany, and was married to Janet Lisinski, who preceded him in death in May of 1966. The couple farmed in the Maplehurst area from 1947 until the present time.

Survivors include two sons, Kurt, Milwaukee, and David of Owen; two grandchildren; two brothers, George and Wilhelm of Germany; and a sister, Erna, of Germany.
