Bohman, Kenneth (22 NOV 1940 - 30 MAR 2018)
Kenneth Bohman, 77, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at the Marshfield
Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford, with the Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam
presiding. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
6352 of Stratford took place at the parish cemetery and serving as pallbearers
were Kevin Bohman, Brad Harrison, John Paul Bohman, Aaron Drexler, Matt Bohman
and Scott Zoellner.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jennifer and Jessica Bohman.
A public visitation for Kenneth was held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 4 p.m.
until 8 p.m. at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, and on Wednesday from 10
a.m. until service time at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Kenneth was born on March 30, 1940, in Wood County, the son of Jacob and Armella
(Breu) Bohman.
On Oct. 19, 1963, he married the love of his life, Margaret (Engmann), at St.
John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. She passed away on Feb. 24, 2009.
He went on to own his own farm and farmed for over twenty years from 1966 to
1988 until moving into the trucking business. He was always proud of being a
part of the two and a half million miles club, all without a single ticket or
accident.
Ken had many hobbies, including being a member of the Edgar Steam Show for
several years and helping his brother, Jimmy, on the farm. However, his true
passion was restoring antique tractors, restoring many tractors with his
brother, Jimmy, and niece, Jenny. He was also a member of the Stratford VFW and
the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his children, Brian Bohman of Wausau, Lisa Bohman of Fenwood,
and Christina (Scott) Helms of Stratford. He is also survived by two
grandchildren, Wyatt and Madison Meador.
He is further survived by brothers and sisters, Duane Bohman of Stratford,
Kathleen (Richard) Stark of Florida, John (Kathleen) Bohman of Stratford, Diane
Harrison of Fenwood, James (Diane) Bohman of Stratford, Gail (Kenny) Drexler of
Lindsey; and his brother-in-law, Randy Kafka of Hamburg.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; a brother,
Roger Bohman; his sisters, Mary Jane Zoellner and Gloria Kafka; and
brother-in-law, Bud Harrison.
