McFaul, Jerome “Jake” (18 MAY 1939 - 17 MAR 2018)
Jerome “Jake” McFaul, 78 of Chetek, WI, passed away on March 17th, 2018 (St.
Patrick’s Day - one of his favorite days to celebrate) at Sacred Heart Hospital
in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Jake was born May 18, 1939, in Eau Claire to Gerald “Jake” and Wanda (Lankey)
McFaul. He attended St. Patrick’s grade school and graduated from Regis High
School, Eau Claire, WI.
Jake married the love of his life Gerry (Keegan) on May 5th, 1962.
They raised four wonderful children: Brian (Julie) McFaul of Chetek, Wade
(Monica) McFaul of Eau Claire, Sandy (Jamie) Plummer of New Auburn, Wendy (Mike)
Heffernan of Eau Claire.
Jake was a devoted family man. He loved to spend precious time with his
grandchildren: Karissa, Samantha, Quintin, Taylor, Justice, Madison, and Drake,
as well as his great-grandchildren: Mackensey, Kaiden, Jennings, Ivy, Kinsley,
and Titan.
Jake was a true sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish with his family and
friends. After retirement to their lake home on Ten Mile Lake that he built
piece by piece, Jake turned to a hobby that became a passion. Jake created many
World Class fish carvings.
If he wasn’t in his studio carving these award-winning fish, you could find him
boating on the lake or kicked back at a bonfire, listening to music, with his
dear family and friends, whom he loved more than life itself.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Chetek Lions Club and Knights
of Columbus and the Chetek Community Center.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald “Jake” and Wanda McFaul and
his great-granddaughter Oaklee Mae Shipman.
