Sisko, Bonnie J. (Bishop) (28 NOV 1944 - 26 MAR 2018)
Bonnie J. Sisko, 73, of Altoona, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 surrounded
by her family at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Bonnie was born on Nov. 28, 1944 to John and Linnea Bishop in Ladysmith. She
graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1963.
She married Ronald M. Sisko on April 23, 1966. She became a CNA and worked at
Rusk County Memorial Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital, and eventually became a
home health care aide. After Ron and Bonnie started their family, she became a
licensed day care provider for many years and finished her working career at
Hutchinson Technology.
Besides her family, one of Bonnie’s many joys in life was her daily crossword
puzzles with Ron, watching her game shows, and of course the Green Bay Packers.
She enjoyed playing Ducky Dice & Dirty Clubs. This last year, every Sunday,
would be a day of playing Dirty Clubs with her family, which she looked forward
to even at the end of her days.
Bonnie lived a fulfilling life and she and Ron raised a great family. Bonnie had
a sense of humor everyone absolutely loved and it seems to have trickled down to
her children and grandchildren. She truly enjoyed the moments spent with all of
them, especially after Ron passed in 2015. She missed him greatly and it warms
our hearts they are together again.
Bonnie is survived by her children; Todd (Kari) Sisko, of Menomonie, Theresa
(Kyle) Gibbs, of Ladysmith, Chad (Jennifer) Sisko, of South Range, and Travis
Sisko, of Altoona, grandchildren; Ryan and Evan Sisko, Taylor and Zachary Gibbs,
Tori (Logan) Lindberg, Matthew Sisko, and Wyatt and Kinsley Sisko, and great
grandson; Cayden Lindberg. As well as Carmen Rudesill and Family. Brother James
“Doc” (Judy) Bishop, sister Becky (Gene) Nikolai and sister-in-law Bubba Bishop,
and special sister by heart, Jan Sisko. She is further survived by many nieces,
nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Sisko; her parents, John and
Linnea Bishop; her brother, John (Carol) Bishop and Dick Bishop and her sister
Brenda, Bishop.
Special thank you to Dr. Kidess and staff, as well as the staff at HSHS Sacred
Heart Hospital & Dove Healthcare facilities for the wonderful care given to
Bonnie.
