Watson, Laurence E. (18 JUL 1928 - 23 MAR 2018)

Laurence E. Watson, 89, of Abbotsford, died March 23, 2018, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Per Laurence’s wishes, the body will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.

He was born July 18, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill., to Eaner and Suaua “Sunni” (Pottala) Watson. Laurence married Julia A. Hopfensperger on Aug. 23, 1950.

Laurence is survived by his wife, Julia; son, Donald Watson of Abbotsford; daughters, Debra Watson (Al Pederson) of Colby and Joann Peel (Brad Backer) of Merrill; grandchildren, Mike and Bonnie Voelker of Minneapolis, Minn., Keith Voelker of Chippewa Falls, Jon and Amanda Peel of Stratford, Lyle and Jamie Peel of Merrill and Chloe Turner of Merrill; and two great-granddaughters, Aeris and Amara of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde “Mort” Watson; and sons, Ronald, Jerry and Steven.
