Wainscott, Milre A. (26 NOV 1898 – 6 MAR 1971)
At two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 1971, funeral services for Mrs. Milre
Adelia Wainscott were conducted from the Alliance Church in Curtiss. Rev. Lester
Kringle, pastor of the parish, officiated, with burial being made at Pine Hill
Cemetery, Curtiss.
Pallbearers were Ed Krause, George Lindau, Floyd Buchanan, Neal Green, John
Strassburger and Alfred Thompson.
Milre Adelia Wainscott, nee Danes, passed away Saturday, March 6, 1971 at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, following surgery.
The former Milre Danes was born November 26, 1898 in Fremont, Nebraska, and
attended schools in Tilden, Nebraska.
She was married to William Wainscott, April 15, 1924, in Yankton, S.D. The
couple lived in Nebraska until 1940, when they moved to Elgin, Ill., and came to
the Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) area in 1948. They have operated a farm there
since that time.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lee, Joliet, Ill.; Dale, Oak Creek,
and Gene, Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Marilyn) Bilke, Milwaukee; 18
grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wanda Huss, Austin,
Texas; and three brothers, Gilbert Danes, Wheaton, Ill.; Percy Danes, Waterloo,
Iowa; and Vernon Danes, Philadelphia, Pa.
