The Dean's Honor List for the first semester of the 1970-1971 school year has been released and five area students have made it.

They are:

Sophomores – Kathleen Buss, Giner Gay, and Shirley Nerdrum, all of rural Withee.

Juniors – Nancy Amacher and Marlene Carlson, both of Owen.

According to Dr. Hibbard, vice-president of Academic Affairs, the Dean's Honor List consists of all students who have obtained a 3.2 or better average, earning during semester at least eight hours of credit. The total number of students winning this distinction was 1,693.

Letters of congratulations to the parents of these students have been mailed from the University.
