Guenther, Mary F. (Gowey) (23 MAY 1927 - 29 MAR 2018)
Mary F. Guenther, 90, of Medford passed away on Thursday March 29, 2018 at
Aspirus in Medford.
She was born on May 23, 1927 to Glen Alfred and Orla E. Gowey. She attended
Medford Schools. She married Otto Ervin Guenther on October 10, 1945. He
preceded her in death in 2003.
She worked as a homemaker and on the family farm until her children were grown;
she then when on to work at Weather Shield for 20 years until her retirement.
In her spare time she enjoyed bingo, traveling, sewing, quilting, listening to
country music, and watching the Packers.
Mary is survived by her children, Galen (Lorraine) Guenther of Ladysmith, Harvey
Guenther of Medford, Jim (Diane Frokjer) Guenther of Forrest Lake, MN, Kevin
(Martha) Guenther of Hudson, and Pam (John) Jacoy of Sarasota, FL;
grandchildren, Ann (Tim) Nolan, April Guenther, Tracy Wojcik, Kristy (Jasper)
Johnson, Erika Guenther and Kierstin Guenther.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by her
daughter Judith Guenther, great-grandson Taylor Nolan, all of her siblings, and
daughter in law, Rose Guenther.
A memorial service will take place at Our Saviour’s Lutheran church in Holway on
Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 12:00 PM. Visitation will take place on Saturday,
April 28, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church from 11:00 AM until the time of
service at 12:00 PM.
Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be given to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with
arrangements.
