Milas, Louise (12 AUG 1929 – 28 MAR 2018)

Louise Milas, 88, formerly of Lublin died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Oakbrook Nursing and Rehab in Thorp. She was born on August 12, 1929, to the late Edward and Estelle (Wagner) Przybylski. Louise grew up in the Lublin area and married Joseph Milas on February 18, 1950. They worked on the family farm until moving to Lublin. Joe and Louise eventually opened up their own business, Milas Tractor Sales, and Louise enjoyed working by Joe's side every day in the garage or having to go for parts.

Louise enjoyed polka music, especially when Joe was playing in the band in which he played concertina and drums. Throughout the years, Louise was a cooking aide at the Lublin grade school, a treasurer for the Village of Lublin, and also worked at Larmon's General Store in Lublin. Louise also enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchild, sewing, making quilts, gardening, and canning.

Louise is survived by her children: Tim (Jennifer) Milas of Mount Horeb, Marge (Kevin) Baker of Gilman, and Peggy Milas and Jerry Kolve of Lublin; her grandchildren: Noel (Dale) Schilmgen and Matt Milas, both of Mount Horeb, and Eric Milas of Westbrook, Maine; one great- grandson, Hunter Milas; one brother, Louis Przybylski of Wisconsin Rapids; and her sister, Barb Kosik of Stanley. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph (2008); a daughter, Kathy, in infancy; a brother, Bernard; and her sisters: Joanie Miela and Bernice Berkey.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin with Father Madanu Lourdu officiating. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
