Gaffney, Judge Richard (11 NOV 1908 – 14 APR 1971)

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, for Clark County Judge Richard F. Gaffney, 62, who died April 14, 1971 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The Rev. George Becker, pastor, officiated, and burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Raymond Conzemius, Henry Mauel Sr., Richard Allen, Sheriff David Bertz, Harold McCarthy, and Henry Anderson.

Survivors of Judge Gaffney include his wife, Alice; five daughters, Mrs. William (Susan) Johnson, town of Longwood; Mrs. Bruce (Colleen) Johnson, Owen; Jane (Toni), who is at home; Kathleen Gaffney, Owen; and Mrs. Janet Thomas, Rockford, Ill.; three sons, Timothy Gaffney, Owen; Patrick, Neillsville; and Richard of Neillsville; eight grandchildren, five sisters and a brother.
