Mrs. Charles Edgar was host to members of her bridge club when they met at her
home on April 28th. Mrs. C.O. Albert held high score for the evening, Mrs. Edgar
second, and guest substitute, Mrs. Bill Catura third. Other guests were Mrs.
Henry Mauel Jr. and Miss Eleanore Mauel. Dessert followed the evening's play.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wendt and family of Eau Claire visited the homes of os his
brother, Harold and Eddie, on Sunday.
Over the weekend the Art Feldman family drove to Janesville, where they visited
his parents, and especially his father, who is ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kafka and son spent the weekend in Antigo with relatives.
Over the weekend Margaret Kitze visited the home of her brother, Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Kitze, in River Falls.
Mrs. Robert Hopkins and Mrs. Carl Halverson's niece of Madison arrived a week
ago Monday and spent all week here visiting Mrs. Hopkin's mother, Mrs. Carl
Halverson. On Tuesday they went to Eau Claire, where Mrs. Halverson received a
checkup.
Word was received here last week by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Andresen that their
grandson, David Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Rasmussen of Des Moines,
Iowa, had been injured at school in a gym class, and is now hospitalized.
