The Youth and Scholarship Committee of the Clark County Extension Homemaker
Organization announce the two winners of the scholarships given annually to High
School seniors.
Barbara A. Rusch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rusch, route 1, Withee (Clark
Co., Wis.), has been chosen to receive the $100 4-H Homemaker Memorial
Scholarship. Barbara, a senior at O-W High School, plans to enter River Falls
State University. She has chosen elementary education as her major. Barbara has
been active in a number of school activities, such as Library Council, the FHA,
the French Club and the AFS. For the past nine years she has participated in and
held offices in the Longwood Center 4-H Club. Presently Barbara is a junior
leader in Safety and Dairying.
The winner of the $100 Homemaker Scholarship is Charlene F. Luchterhand,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Luchterhand, route 1, Neillsville.
The alternate winner for either of these scholarships is Kay Schultz, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schultz of route 1, Greenwood.
The Youth and Scholarship Committee is chaired by Mrs. Fred Vornholt,
Neillsville, co-chaired by Mrs. Darrel Horn of Greenwood and Mr. Dick Eibergen
of Granton, of the 4-H Leaders Federation.
