Ackeret, George “Greg” Edward (11 SEP 1916 - 27 DEC 2005)
George “Greg” Edward Ackeret, 89, Medford, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at
Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford, where he had resided the past four
years.
Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church
in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery with full military rites.
Pallbearers are Kevin, Dan and Greg Ackeret, Roy and Jim Dosselman and Nick
Synol.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Balciar, Ed Hirsch, Leo Callahan and Ray Lange.
Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with
a 6:30 p.m. prayer and rosary service.
Greg is the son of Gottlieb J. & Elizabeth (Hirsch) Ackeret. He served in the US
Army during WW 2, and was married to Kathryn E. (Hoemberg) on Aug 17, 1946.
