Gilles, Christine Ann (Stauner) (4 JAN 1931 - 1 DEC 2005)

MEDFORD - Christine A. Gilles, 74, of Medford, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

She was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Medford, to Joseph and Susan (Kellner) Stauner.

She married Emanuel "Manney" J. Gilles on April 26, 1952, at Holy Rosary Church.

She was a homemaker and at-home mother until 1975 when she began employment with the Medford Clinic in the housekeeping department. She retired in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Manney Gilles of Medford; two daughters, Sharon (Allen) Brey, Marinette, and Linda (Dennis) Henrichs, Marathon City; two sons, Joseph (friend, Georgie Ann) Gilles, Ogema, and Jim (Lisa) Gilles, Medford; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; five sisters, Mary Dassow, Catherine Dassow and Agnes (Ray) Carstensen, all of Medford, Minnie Reynolds, Baraga, Mich., and Thresa Koutrelakous, Northrop, Maine; and her brother, Alvin (Lillian) Stauner, Medford.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
