Kring, James “Jim” Leroy (1 JUN 1929 - 24 OCT 2005)
Former Ogema resident James “Jim” Leroy Kring, 76, Rib Lake, died Monday,
October 24, 2005 at Rib Lake Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Spirit United
Methodist Church with Reverend Rebecca Niese officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of
service.

James Kring, 76, James "Jim" L. Kring, 76, Rib Lake, formerly of Ogema, died
Oct. 24, 2005, at the Rib Lake Health Care Center.
He was born June 1, 1929, in Muskegon, Mich., to Richard and Millicent (Keldrehouse)
Kring.
He attended Wilson Graded School and was a 1945 graduate of Tripoli High School.
He then began logging. On June 7, 1952, he married the former Janet Fay Johnson
at the Ogema Lutheran Church parsonage. He continued to work as a self-employed
logger until his retirement in 1991. He had been a member of a pool league in
the Brantwood area, a bowling league in the Tomahawk area, and in his early
years had participated in various baseball leagues, playing for Rib Lake, Spirit
and Tomahawk. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by Janet, his wife of 53 years; by three sons, Kerry "Butch"
(Sandra), and Kim (Lynn), all of Brantwood; and Timothy, Port Charlotte, Fla.;
by four daughters, Jill (Ben) Tremblay, Seattle, Wash.; Debra (Ken) Spellman,
Westboro; Julie (Patrick) Lord, Prentice; and Lorelei Kring, Waukesha; by three
brothers, Richard, Interlachen, Fla.; Douglas (Carol), Tucson, Ariz.; and
Ronald, Wausau; by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and by
nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one granddaughter Kayla Kring.
A memorial service was held Oct. 30 at Spirit United Methodist Church with Rev.
Rebecca Niese officiating.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford & Rib Lake served the family.
