Marriage vows were exchanged December 28 at Immanuel Lutheran Church,
Marshfield, by Miss Deborah Lynn Farnsworth and William James Nelles. The Rev.
Eldore F. Messerschmidt officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Farnsworth, Marshfield, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Nelles, Rt. 2 Marshfield.
The bride’s empire style gown of white velvet with venise lace trim feathered a
high neckline, long, full sleeves and a skirt sweeping to chapel train. Matching
lace edged her cathedral length veil. She carried an arrangement of red roses
and white carnations with pine boughs as she was presented in marriage by her
father.
Miss Jane Anderson, Marshfield, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Miss
Cheryl Kuester, Waukesha, Miss Ann Sternitzky, Neillsville, and Miss Debbie
Nebel, Wheeling, Il. Their empire style velvet gowns in traditional holiday hues
were fashioned with long, puffed sleeves and accented by bouquets of red and
white carnations surrounded by holly.
Attending the groom were Jeff Strack, Marshfield, as bestman and Dennis
Farnsworth, Marshfield, David Roggenbauer, Milwaukee, and Scott Sautner,
Marshfield, as groomsmen. Ushering duties, were shared by Tony Nelles and David
Farnsworth.
