Prior, Robert K. (1922? - 1975)

Robert K. Prior, 52, Loyal jeweler, died January 2 in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield, where he was taken after suffering an apparent heart attack in his store.

Committal services and interment Monday morning at the Loyal Cemetery preceded an 11 a.m. Memorial service at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eugene Carlson officiating.

Robert Prior, a native of Wauconda, Il., and Loyal resident for much of his lifetime, started his jewelry business in Loyal in 1948. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eau Claire Consistory, the American Legion, Rotary and the Order of the Eastern Star.

His marriage to the former Dorothy Kronberger, who survives, took place June 10, 1945, in Loyal.

Other survivors include one daughter, Maureen, at home, three sons: Michael of Madison, Scott of Yakima, WA., and Mitchell, at home; his parents, Mr., and Mrs. Ray Prior of Loyal, two brothers: Calvin of Greenwood and Norman of Marshfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Ora Lee) Giese of Rice Lake and Mrs. Raymond (Muriel) Ewert of Crystal Lake, Il.
