Noll, Harry Martin (24 May 1894 – 30 December 1974)

Harry Martin Noll of 1104 Grand Ave., Neillsville, died December 30 at the age of 80 following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 2, from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. Interment was in the Phelps Community Cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Harry Noll, son of John L. and Elizabeth Noll, was born May 24, 1894, in the Milwaukee area, was educated there, and worked for the Cutler-Hammer Corporation for a time. He entered the U. S. Army in 1918 and served in Europe with the cavalry. Following his discharge from military service, he worked at various jobs in different parts of the state.

After his first marriage he was employed at a grocery store in Phelps for many years. Following the death of his first wife, Mr. Noll moved to Neillsville.

His marriage to the former Alma Dux took place November 4, 1967, in Neillsville. Mr. Noll was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and several children, are three sisters: Mrs. Alma Hainzelsperger of Neillsville, Mrs. John (Stella) Hainzelsperger of Colby and Mrs. Shoon (Viola) Chow of Vancouver, Wa.; five brothers, Frank Noll of Red Wing, N. D., John Noll of Stevens Point, Ray Noll of Neillsville, Arnold Noll of Granton and George Noll of Madison; and several grandchildren.

“The Lord’s My Shepherd” and “Who Knows When Death May Overtake Me” were suing by Mrs. Harold Mayer. Victor Lehmann was the accompanist at the organ.

Among those attending the services were the following from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dux, Julie, David, Paul and Mark, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Noll, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. John Hainzelsperger; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hainzelsperger and Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Verland Dux, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Dux, Ann Kenyon, Harold Kenyon and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Kleinschmidt, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nemitz, New Auburn; Mrs. Carl Siedel and family and Mrs. Dale Zawislak, Marshfield.
