Weihrouch, Carl Chriss (13 JUL 1939 - 18 OCT 2006)
Carl Chriss Weihrouch, 67, Hannibal, Wis., passed away unexpectedly at his
residence on October 18, 2006, in the Town of Cleveland.
He was born on July 13, 1939, the son of Chriss Elihu and Mildred Sophia (Roda)
Weihrouch in Owen, Wis.
He grew up in the Hannibal area attending area schools and graduating from
Hannibal High school in 1956. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during
the Vietnam War from 1964-66.
He then returned back to the area where he lived and farmed on the family farm.
Carl was active in the area serving as Town chairman for the Town of Cleveland
for many years and was also fire warden. He also drove the town grader and
volunteered at Perkinstown Winter Sports Area.
He loved the outdoors, hunting ducks and deer hunting. Along with his brother he
trapped mink, weasels and an occasional skunk or two.
He is survived by his son, Curt of Hannibal; one sister, LaVonne (Kenneth) Ganz
of Alma; and two brothers, Calvin (wife, Alice) and Charles (wife, Yvonne), both
of Melrose; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chriss and Mildred Weihrouch; and
sisters, Marcella Tomaschefsky and Lucy in infancy.
Funeral services were on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at 3 p.m. at New Hope
Presbyterian Church in Hannibal with Juanita Patten officiating. Burial was in
the Hannibal Cemetery.
