Smith, Larry (1952? - 9 January 1975)

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell and family, Rt. 3 Neillsville, received word January 9 concerning the unexpected death of his nephew, Larry Smith, 22. A sergeant in the U. S. Air Force, he was stationed at Plattsburgh AFB, N.Y. Results of an autopsy have not yet been released.

Sgt. Smith is survived by his wife, Sheryl; one daughter, Melody Joy, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith; two sisters: Mrs. Daniel Janda and Miss Lori Smith, and one brother, Earl. All are of Waukegan, Il. In this area, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Bell, in addition to his uncle.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell left Sunday, January 12, to attend funeral services in Waukegan Monday, and returned home again late Tuesday night. Bernard Huth and Chester Turville helped Barbara Bell with the chores during her parents’ absence, and Mrs. Bell’s mother, Mrs. William Hofmann, helped the girls with the housework.
