Kind, Patricia Ann (Marriage – 18 January 1975)
Miss Patricia Ann Kind became the bride of David Wallace Acker in ceremonies
performed January 18 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood, by the Rev.
David Wenger. Afterwards, the couple greeted guests at a reception at the
Greenwood American Legion Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind, Jr., Greenwood. Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Acker, Rt. 3 Greenwood are the groom’s parents.
Presented in marriage by her father, the former Miss Kind appeared in a
lace-bodied white satin gown framed by a three-tiered veil. She carried three
long stemmed red roses.
Attending the bride were Miss Rita Sladich, Greenwood, as maid of honor and a
sister, Miss Pamela Kind, as bridesmaid. Their pink and blue flowered, empire
style gowns were fashioned with bell sleeves. Each carried a single,
long-stemmed pink rose.
Chet Rybski, Loyal, served as bestman and Arvin Verhulst, Loyal, as groomsman.
Ushers were LaVern Kind and Bryon Acker.
“O Perfect Love” was sung by Mrs. Eleanor Johnson.
The groom who is a 1974 graduate of Loyal High School is employed by an auto
wrecking firm.
Rt. 3 Greenwood is the couple’s address.
