Susan Jean Reckner of 305 Dearborn Street, Spencer, Wisconsin, and Glen Bruce
Butcher, R.R. 1, Loyal (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, were united in marriage Saturday,
June 16, 1973, at 1:30 P.m. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James
Reckner, 305 Dearborn Street, Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butcher, R.R. 1,
Loyal, Wisconsin.
Christ the Kind Church, in Spencer, Wisconsin, was the setting. The ceremony was
performed by Rev. A.H. Bofenkamp, and music was provided by Mrs. Ken Reckner,
organist, Mrs. James Sautner and Mrs. Pat Stephens as soloists.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a gown of nylon organza and
Chantilly lace. It featured a Sabrina neckline, detachable train in cathedral
length, and matching lace edge veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink
roses, carnations, and baby's breath.
Maid of honor for Miss Reckner was Miss Pat Oelrich of R.R. 1, Spencer, Wis.
Bridesmaid was Miss Nancy Markee, R.R. 4, Marshfield, Wis., with Miss Debbie
Reckner, Spencer, junior bridesmaid. The attenants' apparel consisted of sheer
bouffant formals in rainbow shades of blue, orchid, and pink. They wore matching
picture hats, and carried baskets of daisies, pixie carnations, and baby's
breath.
Best man for Mr. Butcher was Tommy Rhodes, Leesburg, Georgia. Groomsman was Bud
Butcher of R.R. 1, Unity, Wis. Ushers were Ken Reckner and Ken Butcher.
The reception, supper and dance were held at the Village Plaza, Spencer.
The bride is a 1973 graduate of Spencer High School. She has been employed at
St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
The groom is a 1973 graduate of Spencer High School, and is presently engaged in
farming.
After a honeymoon to eagle River, Wisconsin, the couple will be at home at R.R.
1, Loyal, Wisconsin.
