Hackbarth, Arlene C. “Pinch” (Pagels) (20 MAY 1933 - 15 APR 2018)
Arlene C. “Pinch” Hackbarth, 84, of Tripoli, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018
at House of the Dove Hospice in Marshfield.
The funeral service for Arlene “Pinch” Hackbarth will take place at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, April 28 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Deacon Dave Bablick will
officiate. The visitation for Pinch will take place from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on
Friday evening, April 27 at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on
Saturday morning. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery later in the
spring.
Pinch was born May 20, 1933 in Rudolph to William and Clara Pagels. She married
Keith H. Hackbarth on July 24, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids. She attended Hillview
grade school in Rudolph and graduated in 1951 from Lincoln High School in
Wisconsin Rapids.
She had formerly worked at Consolidated Papers, Biron Division. Keith and Pinch
moved to Tripoli in May of 1963. She had served as the town of Somo treasurer
from 1985 to 1993, she was a member of Trails End Homemakers Club, Tripoli Fire
Department Auxiliary, School Board, PTA, Catholic Women’s Club at St. Mary
Catholic Church. She had been a CCD teacher, 4-H leader, scouts leader and
enjoyed volunteering. Pinch also enjoyed scrapbooking, photo albums, family
reunions, letter writing, crafts, quilting, baking, camping, and had traveled to
all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.
Survivors include her husband Keith; children Keith, Jr. (Pat) Hackbarth of
California, William (Jennifer) Hackbarth of Rib Lake, Patty (Bill) Whisenant, of
Madison, Claire Bernitt of Menomonie, Alan (Cheryl) Hackbarth of Madison, Karl (Danette)
Hackbarth of Knapp, Lee (Edye) Hackbarth of Eau Galle, and Jane (David)
Dettmering of Prentice; brother Dale (Kay) Pagels, of Rudolph.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra;
granddaughter, Chelsea Statz; two brothers, Howard and Kenny; two sisters, Peg
and Bobbie, and a son-in-law, Paul.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, please plant something in memory of Pinch. She
especially enjoyed apple trees, and her family would be honored to have you
plant an apple tree in her memory. Krueger Family Funeral Home & Cremation
services is assisting the family with arrangements.
