Zietz, Ramona Ruth (Reichel) (23 AUG 1928 - 20 APR 2018)

Ramona Ruth Zietz, 89, of Bruce, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2018 with her family by her side at Monroe Manor in Barron.

Ramona was born on Aug. 23, 1928, in Ladysmith, to George and May Eleanor (Bates) Reichel.

She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1955. She married Ervin Zietz on Feb. 16, 1957. They were married for 38 years until his death in 1995. Ramona enjoyed her Danielle Steele Books, a great cup of Lipton Tea and visiting with her family and friends. She was thankful for all of the care she received at Monroe Manor. She became very close to her caregivers, Gayle and Carol (Carol was able to perfect Ramona’s cup of tea).

Ramona is survived by her sons, Keith (Tammy) Zietz of Rice Lake and David Zietz of Conrath; her daughters, Debra (Bob) Strand of Shreveport, La., Judi (Tim) Kramer of Chetek and Roxeanne Zietz of New Richmond. She is further survived by her loving sister, Norma Recore of San Diego, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Ramona’s wishes were to be cremated. A private committal service will be held in the Bruce Cemetery.
