Jacob, Paul William (16 October 1897 – 23 January 1975)
Funeral services were held January 27 from St. John ‘s Evangelical Lutheran
Church for Paul W. Jacob, 77, of Neillsville, who died January 23. The Rev.
Norman W. Lindloff officiated, and burial followed in the Neillsville City
Cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Chester Turville, Oscar DeMert, Lawrence Bohnsack, Joe Resong,
Archie Schultz, and Henry Markwardt.
“Asleep in Jesus” and “The 23rd Psalm” were sung by the St. John’s school choir.
Victor Lehmann was the accompanist.
Among those attending the services were the following from out of town: Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Jacob, Port Edwards; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dascher, La Crosse; Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Jacob, Chicago, Il.; Mrs. Karlyn Weimer and George Weimer, Jr.,
Jim Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Witt, Rudolph; Harold Jacob, Marshfield; Mr. and
Mrs. James Ripke, Nekoosa; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Janousek, Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Bohn and Donald Bohn, Wonewoc.
