Dyre, Oscar A. (18 OCT 1910 – 28 JUL 1973)

The funeral for Oscar A. Dyre, 62, of 2011 9th St., South, Moorhead, Minn., was held Tuesday, July 31 in Christ the King Lutheran Church in Moorhead, with Rev. Roger Olson officiating.

He died Saturday, July 28, 1973 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, N.D., after a short illness.

The body was cremated at Lakewood Crematorium, Minneapolis.

Mr. Dyre was born at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), October 18, 1910. He graduated from Greenwood High School and attended the Milwaukee, Wisconsin School of Engineering and the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

He married Nelda Hoehne of Greenwood, August 31, 1931. The couple lived at Greenwood for a time, then moved to Detroit Lakes, Minn., where they resided for twelve years. In 1953 they moved to Moorhead, where he lived until the time of his death.

He was a Maintenance Engineer at St. Luke's Hospital in fArgo, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Detroit Lakes, Minn.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Karl of Park Rapids, Minn., and Keith of Brainerd, Minn.., and four grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Emil of Grand Forks, N.D., Edgar and Joe of Racine, Kenneth of Greenwood, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Parrott of No. Bonneville, Wash., Alma Dyre of Torrence, Calif., and Mrs. Hugo Stutte of Loyal. All, except Mrs. Parrott were able to attend the funeral.
