LaBarge, Peggy R. (1 SEP 1973)
Peggy R. LaBarge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray LaBarge, R.R. 1, Loyal (Clark
Co., Wis.), and Steven J. Dahlby, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. LaVern Dahlby, Loyal,
Wis., were united in marriage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 1973 at St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, with the Rev. N.E. King, pastor, and Rev. Wm.
Humlie performing the ceremony.
Organ music was provided by Mr. Dan Kneer.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of cluny lace,
highlighted by Venice trim, with empire bodice accented by high neckline and
Queen Anne sleeves, A-line skirt, with attached chapel length train. To complete
her total look, she chose a Venice lace Camelot with all cluny lace fingertip
mantilla. She carried a cascade type bouquet of white carnations, lavender
asters, and white roses with white streamers.
Mrs. Jackie Cornelius, Milwaukee, was matron of honor, with Mrs. Bonnie Bender,
La Crosse, Miss Kathy LaBarge, Menomonie, Miss Jane Dahlby, and Miss Patti
LaBarge, Loyal, were bridesmaids. They wore lavender sheer printed gowns styled
with front pleats, puff sleeves and deep ruffled at btoom. They wore lavender
picture hats and each carried a long stemmed lavender roses.
Miss Tina LaBarge, Wausau, and Miss and Miss Cindy Dahlby, Loyal, were flower
girls, and wore dresses and flowers the same as the bridesmaids.
Dean Poehnelt was best man, with Denny Bender, La Crosse, Daniel Mackoy, Bill
Peters, River Falls, and Tom Dahlby, Eau Claire, as groomsmen.
Tim LaBarge and Blake Dahlby performed ushering duties .
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, with a dinner at the
church, and a dance at the Village Plaza, Spencer.
Mrs. Dahlby attended the UW, Eau Claire for two years, and is employed at 3M,
St. Paul, Minn. Her husband is presently a senior at UW, River Falls.
