Rudolph Janice (5 AUG 1973)

Preceding the wedding of Janice Rudolph and William Toburen, the bride’s uncle, Harold Holtzman, had the honor of lighting the candles for the 5 p.m. ceremony officiated by Rabbi Harry Pastor and guest Rabbi Swarensky, Madison, at Congregation Shalom August 5, 1973. The vows were scaled with the bride’s grandmother’s wedding ring.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rudolph, Milwaukee, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Toburen, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride wore a princess style gown of silk organza fashioned with a French import Alencon lace bodice of seed pearls and crystals. The four tier fingertip veil of silk illusion was secured by a contour headpiece of Alencon lace flowers hand beaded with crystals and seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of white cymbidium orchids, baby’s breath and white roses.

The bride’s sister, Jill Rudolph, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Lori Rudolph, Laurie Picus, Milwaukee, and Mona Lagond, New York City. They wore batiste gowns of lime green with white fill Fuji mum print. Their flowers, in white baskets, were matching green and white Fuji mums.

The groom’s brother, Ray Toburen, Madison, was best man. The groomsmen were Robin Renak, Oshkosh, Steven Howard, Philadelphia, and Even Howard, Madison.

The bride and groom graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. The bride received a degree in art education. The groom is enrolled at Marquette University Dental School, Milwaukee.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, they are residing at 2201 W. Silver Spring Drive, Milwaukee.
