Herbert “Herbie” F. Bloom, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26,
2018 at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
Private services were held for Herbie.

Herbert “Herbie” F. Bloom, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26,
2018 at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend. He was born on June 6, 1929 in Chicago,
IL to Frank and Emma (Johnson) Bloom. He married his love, Selma “Sally”
(Burtard) Bloom, on August 26, 1950 in Colby, Wisconsin.
Herbie worked at Weasler Engineering for 38 years. He was an avid bowler for 50
years and a member of the American Bowling Congress, His passion was watching
the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks. He enjoyed
fishing on Lake Michigan with the guys. Herb loved playing sheepshead, listening
to polkas and waltzes.
Herbie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Sally; children Linda (James)
Spaeth, Nancy (Art) Kennedy, Mary (Sam) Hunter and Lisa (Greg) Minue; 15
grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a sister Esther Litten Salzgeber, two
sisters-in-law Elaine Schuh, Carol (Ronald) Hofmann, two brothers-in-law Orville
Burtard and Ken Burtard. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Herbie is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Sean Kennedy,
great-grandson Nolan Spaeth, brother Carl (Betty), parents-in-law John and Elda
Burtard, sister-in-law Diane Burtard, brothers-in-law Allen Litten, Chris
Salzgeber and Amby Schuh.
Private services were held for Herbie and the family enjoyed a “Polar Bear” at
Omicron in his honor.
A special thank you to Hartford Hospital and Kathy Hospice for their help and
kindness to our family.
