Holman, Gerald “Jerry” B. (24 MAR 1943 - 27 APR 2018)
Gerald “Jerry” B. Holman, 75, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Friday,
April 27, 2018, at Milestone Memory Care Facility.
Jerry was born March 24, 1943 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Ladysmith, WI. He was
the son of Bert and Lucille (Moss) Holman. He grew up in the Ladysmith area,
graduating from Ladysmith High School with the class of 1962.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Druwe at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Murry,
WI. They were married 55 years when Jerry passed away. Jerry worked for Presto
Industries before he was employed by the Eau Claire Area School District for 26
years. He worked at Delong, Randall, Locust Lane, Longfellow, and Roosevelt
schools. After his retirement, he was a crossing guard for Sam Davey Elementary.
He was a very hard-working, honest, and dependable man.
Jerry is a member of the Sacred Heart/St. Patrick’s Parish. He loved to tell
stories and jokes and liked to recall memories of his childhood years. He was a
loving husband, father, and grandpa. Jerry enjoyed hunting and in his earlier
years, he liked to work on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; four children, Michael (Robin) of Prescott,
WI, Theresa (Scott) Beinema of Little Chute, WI, Angela (Dan) Terrien of Green
Bay, WI, and Jeffery Holman of Hopkins, MN; two brothers, Gary Holman of
Broomfield, CO, and Darrell (Lois) Holman of Bruce, WI; grandchildren, Maccenzee
Holman, Camnren, Dylynn, Hunter, and Isaiah Sorensen, Matthew and Kyle Holman,
Gregg and Ryan Beinema, and Krysta Holman; two great granddaughters, Aaliyah and
Audriana.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lloyd, Harold, and
Dale Nelson; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St, Eau Claire, with Father George
Thayilkuzhithottu officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the time of Mass at the
church.
