Shuk, Andrew “Andy” Edward (4 SEP 1923 - 30 APR 2018)

Andrew “Andy” Edward Shuk, 94, of Stanley, died peacefully Monday, April 30, 2018, with his family by his side.

Andy was born on September 4, 1923, in Cook County, Illinois the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Bohowski) Shuk, Sr. He grew up in the Gilman area before entering the Marines to
fight in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He returned to the area and married Marian Smith on June 26, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church-Stanley. The couple lived in Stanley since.

Andy worked for Foremost in Thorp for 25 years and for Victory Memorial Hospital for 25 years as a Maintenance Supervisor before retiring. Andy was an active member of the Thorp American Legion Post 118, the Stanley V.F.W., the Thorp Loyal Order of the Moose and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marian, of Stanley; his children: Andrea (Paul) Kuehni of Delavan, Linda (Ken) Blazel of New Berlin, Rodney (Terry) Shuk of Stanley, Barbara (Joe)
Ramirez of Richmond, VA, and Kevin (Franco Ibarra) Shuk of San Jose, CA; his grandchildren: Korey, Julie, Michelle, Brian, Tasha, Dylan, Marcus, Andrew and Tracey; nine great-
grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Komarek.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Harry and Marion Smith; his son, Brian; a grandson, Travis; two brothers, John and William; and three sisters, Elsie, Kay and Mary.

A memorial mass will be held at 2PM on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church-Stanley with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will follow in St. Bernard's
Catholic Cemetery-Thorp. Visitation will be from 12:30PM until the time of service Saturday at the Church.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family.
