Witzeling, Margaret C. (Wolfe) (28 DEC 1906 - 4 MAR 2011)

Margaret C. Witzeling, 104, Merrill, formerly of Wausau died Friday, March 4, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.

She was born December 28, 1906 in Edgar, daughter of the late George and Frieda (Burger) Wolfe. On January 18, 1928 she married Fred Witzeling in Edgar. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2000.

Margaret and her late husband Fred were the founders of Modern Builders and Suppliers, Wausau. As a couple they enjoyed spending more than 33 years wintering in Florida. Some of Margaret's favorite pastimes included card playing and the day to day activities that Bell Tower had to offer.

Survivors include her three sons, Douglas (Barbara) Witzeling, Madison, Eugene "Jim" (Mary Louise) Witzeling, Tomahawk and Claude (Jean) Witzeling, Wausau, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and one sister, Frances Tushinski, Green Bay along with other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, George and Leonard Wolfe and one sister, Marie Busateri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill. The Rev. John Anderson will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at Bell Tower.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Bell Tower Residence, Merrill or Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
