August 25, 1973, was the day chosen by Miss Barbara Martin of Marshfield to
exchange wedding vows with Mr. Jack Mechelke of Loyal, Wis. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lank, Sarona, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Warren
Mechelke, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).
The 9:30 a.m. ceremony was performed by Judge Peter Seidel at Medford,
Wisconsin. A dinner and reception followed, being held at the home of the
bride's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rose of Spencer,
Wisconsin.
Maid of honor for the ceremony was Diane Martin from Appleton, Wisconsin, a
niece of the bride, and best man was Kenny Dux of Loyal, Wisconsin, a friend of
the groom.
The bride chose a dress of organza over taffeta with a lace bodice, set off with
pearl trimmings and long Juliet lace and organza sleeves. She wore a Juliet cap
and short veil trimmed in lace. Her flwoers consisted of yellow roses with white
mums.
Both the bride and groom are employed by Land O'Lakes Cheese Division, in
Spencer, Wisconsin. The groom graduated from Loyal High School and the bride
graduated from Colby High School. The couple will reside in Loyal, Wisconsin,
after a honeymoon to Upper Michigan.
