Bredlau, John (21 DEC 1879 – 17 SEP 1973)
John Bredlau, 93, Haslow St., Rt. 1, Spencer, died at 3:15 a.m., September 17,
1973 at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal,
with Mr. Larry Donnelly officiating. Burial was made in Loyal Cemetery.
John Bredlau was born December 21, 1879 at Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. He received
his education in the Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) area schools. He was married on May
16, 1906 at Loyal to Mary Torsch. He farmed from 1907 to 1946 on the home farm
in the Town of Beaver (Clark Co.), and from 1946 – 1970 he spent his retirement
at Spokeville (Clark Co.).
He was a member of the Marshfield Jehovah Witnesses.
He is survived by two sons, George, Neillsville, and Walter, 221 Division St.,
Loyal; two daughters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Haslow, Spencer, Mrs. Gerald (Edith)
Berndt, Three Lakes, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and twenty-one
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on November 10, 1958, and five brothers,
four sisters and one grandchildren.
