Braun, Karen, Lorraine (15 SEP 1973)

Making their home at 431 1/2 Fourth St., South, Wisconsin Rapids, are the new Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ratchman, who were married on Saturday, September 15, 1973, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Parents of the former Karen Lorraine Braun are Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Braun, R.R. 2, Spencer, and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Ratchman, Box 196, Butte des Morts, Wis.

The Rev. Father King officiated at the nuptial ceremony, with Jodi Schoonover as organist and Judy Zettler was guitarist, and Judy Zettler, Mrs. Sharon Schoonover and Diane Anderegg singing.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a white A-line gown of peau de soie, chapel train, lace trim on bodice, sleeves, and lace ruffle on the skirt. She had an elbow length veil which fell from a Juliet cap. Her bouquet consisted of stephanotis, yellow roses and baby's breath.

Miss Carol Herman, Oshkosh, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Lynn Lucas, Butte des Morts, and Miss Edith Braun, Marshfield, were bridesmaids. They were seen in wine colored A-line gowns, trimmed with white lace,a nd carried bouquets of pink daisies and baby's breath.

Mr. Dennis Wojahn was best man, with Mr. Terry Lucas, Butte des Morts, and Mr. Gary Braun, Marshfield, as groomsmen.

Ushers were Kirk Ratchman and Michael Braun.

A reception and dinner were held at the Marwood Motor Inn, Marshfield.

The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School, and a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a B.S. degree in Nursing.

Her husband is a graduate of Oshkosh High School, and a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with a B.A.E. degree in Art Education. He also served for three years in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Ratchman is employed as a registered nurse at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, and her husband teaches Art at West Junior High in Wisconsin Rapids.
