Awe, Calvin H. (6 JAN 1925 – 29 SEP 1973)
Calvin H. Awe, 48, of R.R. 1, Owen (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, passed away on
September 29, 1973 at 6:35 a.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral
services were held at 1:30 Tuesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ,
Greenwood. Burial was made in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Pacifico Camarin
officiated at the service.
Mr. Awe was born January 6, 1925, the son of Louise Voightlander and William
Awe, in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.). He has one sister, Mrs. Harry
Meinhardt of R.R. 2, Greenwood, and one brother, Arnold Awe, R.R. 1, Owen,
Wisconsin.
He married Gladys Kuester on June 2, 1954 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in
Greenwood. They had three sons, Fredrick, Mark , and Russell, and one daughter,
Alice.
Calvin Awe lived in Milwaukee until 1960, when they bought a farm in the town of
Warner. They have resided at this address since then. Mr. Awe served on his
church's consistory for four years.
Serving as pallbearers for the services were Norman Behringer, Albert
Pododzinski, Eugene Zawadzki, Clarence Markee, Gerald Steffen, and Don Ossman.
